At Prix Futé, we take protecting your data seriously. This page describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

What data we collect

Your email address and a password (or your sign-in provider) to create your account. Your approximate location, with your permission, to show you nearby grocery stores and prices. Your searches, barcode scans, and contributions (reported prices, reviews, out-of-stock reports) to run the comparison engine and gamification (carrots, levels, badges).

Why we use it

To show you the right prices in the right place, personalize your results by region, power your grocery lists and price alerts, and improve the comparator's reliability through community contributions.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data to advertising third parties. We only share what's necessary with our infrastructure providers (cloud hosting) and, if you're a Futé+ subscriber, with our payment processor to handle billing.

Retention and security

Your information is kept for as long as needed to provide the service, on protected servers. We limit access to this data to what's strictly necessary within our team.

Your rights

Under Quebec's Law 25 and PIPEDA, you can at any time ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information by writing to [email protected]. You can also delete your account directly from the app.

Cookies

The site and app use only functional cookies (session, language preference) — no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Minors

Prix Futé is intended for users aged 16 and up. If you're a parent or guardian and believe a minor has provided us information without your consent, contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be flagged to you in the app.
