Acceptance of the terms

By creating an account or using the Prix Futé app or website, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

The service

Prix Futé is a grocery price comparison service. We sell no products, and we are not responsible for the prices or availability shown in stores — always check the price at the register. The prices shown come from automated readings and from community contributions, and may vary or be out of date.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for the activity carried out from your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Acceptable use

The comparison service rests on the trust of the community. You may not submit false prices or reviews, manipulate the carrot/gamification system, or automatically extract (scrape) the content of the service without our written permission.

Futé+ and Futé Family subscriptions

Futé+ and Futé Family are monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscriptions, billed through your App Store or Google Play account. Futé Family includes everything in Futé+, and also lets every member of your household edit shared lists. You can cancel at any time from your phone settings; access to paid features continues until the end of the period already paid for.

When you create your account, you get 14 days of Futé+ for free. This trial requires no payment method and never turns into a subscription: when it ends, you simply return to the free version. It is granted once per person and per device.

Purchases made through the App Store are also governed by Apple’s standard End User License Agreement (EULA), available here: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ — and purchases made through Google Play by the Google Play terms.

Intellectual property

The Prix Futé brand, its logo and the content of the website and the app belong to us or are used under licence. The contributions you post (reviews, reported prices) remain yours, but you grant us the right to display them and to use them to operate the service.

Limitation of liability

Prix Futé is provided "as is". We do everything we can to keep the prices shown accurate and current, but we cannot guarantee their accuracy at all times. To the extent permitted by law, we cannot be held liable for price differences found in store.

Termination

You can close your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the province of Quebec and the applicable laws of Canada.

Changes

We may change these terms from time to time; significant changes will be flagged to you in the app.
